16' x 27' Steel Tarp for Flatbeds
Steel Tarps are an essential piece of flatbed trucking equipment designed to protect cargo from harsh weather conditions and debris on the road. This heavy-duty steel tarp is constructed with a tough and durable 18 oz. PVC-coated polyester waterproof material.
Note: While the material is waterproof, because our tarps have grommets / D-rings, they are considered water-resistant, not waterproof.
US Cargo Control's professional-grade steel tarps are specifically designed for steel and other cargo loads requiring a 4-sided covering and are a great option for covering machinery and other unconventional loads.
Steel Truck Tarp Features
- Dimensions: 16' x 27' with 4' drops on the sides.
- Oversized D-Rings: The sides and flap are fitted with two rows of D-rings to make fast and secure connections using rubber tarp straps, rubber rope, and s-hooks.
- Abrasion-Resistant Pads: Each D-ring has an abrasion-resistant pad underneath to prevent tarp strap-related damage.
- Cold-Crack Resistant: With a resistance of -40°F, our tarps are pliable even in cold weather.
-
Water, Mildew, & UV-Resistant: Professional-grade PVC-coated polyester construction can withstand exposure to wind, rain, snow, and sun for long-lasting use.
- Reinforced Edges: 2" polyester webbing is added to the perimeter to prevent fraying and maintain the grommets' integrity.
- Heavy-Duty Grommets: Our grommets are bigger than most of the competition, so you can attach two tarp straps to one grommet for oddly-shaped loads.
- Steel Tarp Thickness: 20 mil.
Heavy-Duty Steel Tarp Options
We offer several other 18 oz. steel tarp sizes so it's easy to find the best choice for your application. If you have any questions, reach out to our team of product experts!
| Tarp Size (W x L) | Drop / Flap Length | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| 16' x 27' | 4' | 70 lbs. |
| 20' x 18' | 6' | 60 lbs. |
| 24' x 18' | 8' | 69 lbs. |
Looking for something lighter and easier to handle? Our 14 oz. 16' x 27' lightweight steel tarp is only 56 lbs. - 14 lbs. lighter! The trade-off is tear-resistance - our 18 oz. tarps can handle more stress and won't tear as easily as the 14 oz.
Complete Your Tie Down Setup
Make sure you check out our other flatbed trailer products - for each tarp, we recommend a box of 50 rubber tarp straps, tarp corner protectors, and moving blankets to both protect the tarp and help it slide over the load more easily.
We also offer custom flatbed tarps - you specify sizing, color, material, and we can even add stenciling to increase brand awareness and prevent theft.
